Flatbush Cats Digital Refresh

Work
Project Image
In partnership with None Other and Flatbush Cats, I led the website design and development for 10-page Squarespace site built to improve clarity, usability, and conversion.

The refresh streamlined navigation and strengthened pathways for donors, volunteers, and community members. Alongside the website, I developed a suite of 12 Canva templates for print and digital use, as well as concise brand identity guidelines to ensure consistency across platforms. The result is a cohesive, sustainable system that supports the organization’s day-to-day communications and long-term growth.

The process
Challenge

Flatbush Cats was entering a new phase of growth, and its digital presence needed to reflect that evolution. The existing site lacked clear pathways for volunteers and donors, making key actions harder to complete. The brand also needed stronger visual cohesion across touchpoints, from social graphics to on-the-ground materials. Because the organization operates with a lean team, any solution had to be intuitive, easy to maintain, and scalable over time.

Goal

The goal was to create a conversion-driven website that felt clear, energetic, and aligned with the organization’s mission. The platform needed to streamline user journeys, integrate essential features like newsletter signups and volunteer intake, and provide visibility for programs such as their podcast. Beyond the website, the aim was to equip the team with practical tools for consistent outreach. The overall system needed to balance polish with accessibility, empowering the internal team to manage and expand it independently.

Solution

I designed and developed a modular Squarespace site optimized for clarity, accessibility, and long-term flexibility. Navigation was simplified, calls-to-action were clarified, and key engagement points were integrated directly into the user flow. I extended the refreshed visual system into 12 adaptable Canva templates spanning print and digital formats, giving the team flexible tools for community engagement and recruitment. Finally, I created a concise set of brand identity guidelines covering typography, color, voice, imagery, and layout principles to ensure cohesion across future campaigns and partnerships. The result is a durable digital foundation that supports Flatbush Cats’ continued growth.
