As a contract designer with Open Society Foundations’ Communications team (2022–2023), I produced high-quality materials for both internal and external audiences across a global network serving more than 120 countries.

Deliverables included publications, presentations, data visualizations, internal documents, signage, and social media assets. I partnered closely with internal communications leadership to ensure brand cohesion and message clarity at scale. The work required consistency, adaptability, and sensitivity to a global audience.

The process
Challenge

Supporting a 23-office network required balancing global cohesion with regional flexibility. Research, announcements, and internal updates were often created by staff across different offices and needed to be refined for clarity and public distribution. Teams also required practical, easy-to-use templates that would allow them to communicate quickly without compromising brand standards. Ensuring accessibility, scalability, and visual consistency across varied formats and audiences was essential.

Goal

The goal was to create adaptable systems and polished deliverables that strengthened both internal communications and public-facing materials. Offices needed tools to produce on-brand documents independently. Leadership needed materials that could clearly communicate research, initiatives, and organizational updates across global channels. All assets needed to reinforce OSF’s mission while functioning across digital, print, and environmental contexts.

Solution

I inputted staff-written research papers into OSF’s publication templates, preparing them for public distribution and formal publishing. I developed Word and PowerPoint templates that enabled regional offices to quickly create branded documents, along with digital signage templates for disseminating messages across office TVs worldwide. I created custom intranet banner graphics, social media posts, event materials, and other brand collateral to support both internal engagement and external outreach. By building scalable systems and refining workflows, I helped create a more cohesive and efficient communications ecosystem across the organization.
